Annual Conference Committee

Committee Charge:

To develop an annual conference that will provide opportunities for the membership to enhance their personal and professional development skills.

Committee Objectives:

• Produce a conference program focused on the theme of “Building Strong Partnerships” by offering sessions that educate employees about the significance of strong public and private sector relationships.
• Develop innovative educational and interactive work sessions
• Attract over 150 attendees
• Develop innovative educational and interactive work sessions

Committee Tasks:

• Build new sponsor relationships (corporate/private contributions)
• Provide conference registration fees for department sponsors, as well as individual registration fees
• Promote the conference by targeting public sector departments and utilizing public sector newsletters, as well as UMAST resources
• Confirm strong conference work session champions by March 2008
• Confirm all conference speakers by February 2008
• Financial threshold for conference is to break even with expenditure budget
• Financial target is to end with a net gain of >$2,500 in conference revenue
