- Fiesta is April 18-28! UMAST will once again be selling street chair seating for the Battle of Flowers Parade (Day Parade) on April 26 and the Fiesta Flambeau Parade (Night Parade) on April 27. Tickets will go on sale this week on our Fiesta website.
- We need Fiesta Volunteers to assist with setup, take down, and ushering during the parades. Register as a volunteer on our website.

TCMA Membership
UMAST is encouraging our members to join the Texas City Management Association (TCMA), the statewide organization for local government professionals.
How to join:
- Complete the free Ethics 101 online training course
- Fill out the application on the TCMA membership website. Most local government employees quality for Cooperating Level III membership, $25 annual dues. Students quality for free membership in TCMA.
- All new applicants to TCMA require an endorsement from a Full, Life, or Distinguished member. UMAST can help facilitate endorsements for our members applying for TCMA. Please reach out to a board member or reply to this email for assistance.
There are many benefits of belonging to TCMA: - Annual Conference taking place this year in South Padre Island
- Specialized training and access to publications
- Advising and coaching programs
- Scholarships for TCMA members and their families
