There is a local nonprofit organization dedicated to the continued improvement and development of all public sector professionals including you!
Urban Management Assistants of South Texas, better known as UMAST is an officially recognized 501 © 3 that offers public service employees opportunities for professional development, personal improvement, and social and community service programming.
The largest event they offer each year is the Annual Conference, focusing on professional development.
The Annual Conference is an opportunity for public sector employees to network with fellow employees from throughout South Texas and attend seminars and workshops to assist in professional development in their career field.
The 2010 Conference is quickly approaching!
The conference will be held at El Tropicano Hotel on Friday, October 22, 2010 from 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
This year’s Conference theme is T.I.M.E. (Transforming, Inspiring, Motivating and Engaging) for Good to Great
We are excited to welcome City Manager Sheryl Sculley as our esteemed opening speaker.
And, we have many more surprises planned for the day, including of course the ending social reception on the patios overlooking the Riverwalk North extension.
We are still hunting for session presenters!

All sessions are 45-60 minutes in length and the primary audience is employees and students from various public and private sectors.
